Trivet Rail Channel Form Strips

• Trivet rail and drainage channel form strips.
• You cut to your exact length needed.
• High density neoprene rubber strips.
• One side of the strip has adhesive, so all you have to do is peel the protective cover off, and stick to your form.
• The voids created by this strip can be purely decorative, or used to channel water into a sink for example. Metal trivet rails are usually inserted into the voids to protect the concrete surface, or to keep hot pans off the concrete surface.
• Diamond Rotary Drill Bits are an excellent tool for use with these foam strips.  It is common to need to slightly widen the channel in the concrete so stainless steel trivets will fit.

• Measurements:
• 1/4″ Width, 1/8″ Depth. 50′ long.
• 1/2″ Width, 1/8″ Depth. 50′ long.
• 1/4″ Width, 1/4″ Depth. 50′ long.
• 1/2″ Width, 1/2″ Depth. 25′ long.
• When using 1/4″ Stainless Steel Trivets with the 1/4″x1/8″ Form Strips, 1/8″ of the stainless steel trivet will be above the concrete surface.
• When using 1/2″ Stainless Steel Trivets with the 1/2″x1/8″ Form Strips, 3/8″ of the trivet will be above the concrete surface.
• When using the 1/4″ or 1/2″ Stainless Steel Trivets with the 1/4″x1/4″ or 1/2″x1/2″ size of Form Strips, the stainless steel will usually just barely be above the surface of the concrete when siliconed or epoxied in place.

Trivet Rail Channel Form Strips Application / Use:

• The Form Strips can be used to place a stainless steel bar into, creating a trivet, used just to create a channel in the concrete for decoration, or to channel water into a sink.
• The adhesive backing is very strong, and usually you will just get one chance to stick it to your form.  Placing a straight edge on your form next to where the Form Channel is to stick to will help place it straight, and in the correct placement.
• Cutting the Form Channel to length is usually best done with a new, sharp razor blade.
• When removing the Form Channel from the cured concrete, it may have to be dug out using a flat head screw driver, chisel, etc.
• Diamond Rotary Drill Bits and/or Diamond Sanding Strips will help to smooth out the channel in the concrete, once the Form Strip is removed, especially if trying to fit a stainless steel trivet bar into the channel.
